A new industry longread featuring Riddec Games and other new game providers has been published on SlotCatalog, bringing together several young game providers to discuss what the iGaming market looks like from their side.
Much of the industry conversation focuses on what operators expect from providers. This time, we wanted to turn the perspective around. What does it take for a new studio to get noticed? Is integration enough if a game never gains real lobby visibility? Is a strong product still the main deciding factor, or are distribution, flexibility, localization, support, and commercial terms becoming equally important?
The article also looks at a less obvious side of competition. Young providers compete for the same operators, lobby positions, and players, but a diverse market with more independent studios can also create more choice for operators and more space for new mechanics, formats, and ideas.
For Riddec Games, contributing to this discussion was an opportunity to share our own experience while comparing it with the perspectives of other companies facing many of the same challenges.
The result is an extensive conversation about competition, visibility, distribution, experimentation, operator relationships, and the role young providers can play in an already crowded iGaming market.
We would like to thank SlotCatalog for giving this discussion a platform, as well as Unwanted Games, Formula Spin, and MEGAFAIR for sharing their experience and perspectives so openly.
